The hotel is located in the strict centre of the city. 3 minutes walk to the Duomo. All art galleries are in the neighborhood. Good location to visit the city. The service was very pleasent. You will have to leave your car on a public parking (optimal is Parterre at Via Madonna Della Tosse) as this part of the city is closed for public trafic.
This hotel was in a great location and was very nice. The owner was super friendly and very welcoming. He even carried our bags up the stairs which was awesome! Once we checked in he got a map and showed us places to go and good restaurants. We didn't even have to ask. The room was really large and the bed was terrific. there's also a large flat screen tv but all in Italian. Oh well, we weren't here to watch TV. The bathroom was also large and bright. Nice big, clean towels and soap and shampoo are provided. The wrought iron bed other distinctive furniture really gave this room character. The location was probably the best part. We were just a few blocks from the Duomo and a few blocks the other direction to the David. There were many little markets, restaurants and shops nearby but it was still quiet.
The only negative about this hotel would be the mold in the bathroom. The shower grout was pretty black. I find it hard to understand because everything else was so clean and shiny. Even the rest of the bathroom was white and bright. It didn't really bother me that much because the shower had great pressure and lots of hot water. Our bathroom at home isn't always that pristine either! Anyway, there are so many good features of the Relais ii Campanile that I wouldn't let a little mold deter me.
The location was perfect
The reception had very limited access time wise.
Perfect Location, very close to the main sights if you are on a fast journey, Vesna was very helpfull and extremly nice host, Very good wireless connection Wish I stayed more...
Very friendly staff, had good information about local eateries & gelaterias ( gave us good advise re some good pizzerias & a few excellent gelaterias)
AC could have been better!
Very friendly and helpful staff (thank you, Vesna), and an excellent location for exploring the heart of Florence.
The tiniest and least usable bathroom I think I've ever encountered. I presume the lack of space in th bathroom also challenged the cleaners ... while not dirty, it could have been cleaner.
Location. This place was smack in the middle of it all. We were able to hit all the hot spots in Florence and occasionally stop off back at our room to drop off purchases and the like. It was very convenient and also allowed us to get to the attractions early and beat the crowds. You really can't beat the location.
The reception desk was only manned for a few hours a day (something like 8:30–3:00 or so). This wasn't a huge problem but I wasn't able to get the wifi password until my second day there, which was rather disappointing, considering that was a deciding factor in picking te place.
The staff were fantastic - helped us with printing confirmations and boarding passes etc and made bookings for tours for us over the phone to an italian company. The room was very large and clean. The hotel is ideally located one block from the Duomo and an easy walk to the ponte vecchio and train station too!
excellent location,free wi-fi,big room.
without breakfast,bad smell on exit.
Incredible location, next to the Duomo, but no streetnoise. Free wifi in the hotel. Breakfast-service in the room also very good. Staff friendly, room nice and spacious.Wonderful B&B and next time I will book it again.
Free internet, location,price
Check out too early at 10,30, no elevator,
Extremely friendly staff, 2 min walking to duomo and 5 min walking to academia.. Really very nice location very nice rooms and bathroom is very clean and new.. I will absolutely recommend this b&b
I had a car so I payed 30€ for night to leave my car its a bit expensive
This delightful B&B is in a perfect location. We could not have made a better lodging choice!
There was absolutely nothing we did not like about Relais Il Campanile al Duomo.
Hotel is about 100m to Duomo ! very very close to city center ! very friendly nice staff .
We had a large, beautiful room with a state-of-the-art bathroom. The shower was so sophisticated that it was initially mystifying! The location couldn't have been better, just a few minutes from the Duomo. Chiara was wonderful - exceptionally friendly and helpful. We asked for bus times to Siena and she sat us down as she looked them up on the computer, then rang the bus company to check where we could buy tickets.
Breakfast was not great, which tended to be the case generally in Italy, the emphasis being on dry, sugary cakes. We realize that space was probably limited, but we would have preferred to go to a dining room rather than have it served in our room.
